Let's go to the zoo....

Fuji Safari Park Theme Song

Honto ni,honto ni,honto ni,honto ni raion da,
Chikasugichatte doushiyou,
Kawakute doushiyou,
Fuji Safari Park...

English Translation:

It's really,really,really,really a lion,
It's coming closer what should I do,
So cute what should I do,
Fuji Safari Park...

It's nice to celebrate somebody's birthday by taking him/her to interesting places like a zoo. So,just like the song goes,me,Okamoto sempai and the folks went to Fuji Safari Park as to celebrate Masa's 29th birthday...wohooo!!!

the birthday boy and the rest of the trip crew

The trip took about an hour and a half from Yokohama which we spent most of the time celebrating Masa's birthday in the car...too bad Masa had a hang-over all the way during the trip due to the prior celebration and hardly remembered anything at all.

There are bears,lions,cheetahs,elephants...

When we arrived at the safari park, paid the ticket...instead of taking the cage looking buses we drove straight in thru the park.We experienced some trafic jams in the tiger zone, lion zone, bear zone...well in every zones but he had our shutter chances with animals pretty nicely.

the final moments when we about to run over a deer.

tired of 4 legged mammals?here are some 2 legged mammals for change...

again there are giraffes,flamingoes,monkeys,sheeps...it's a zoo for crying out loud!!!...

The drive on the safari course was a short one, about an hour but it was a nice experience watching the animals in bigger cages plus we were inside it.After that we had our lunch and squable around with kids on the kid's playpark ignoring the fact that we are almost pakcik and makcik.

emus,kangarooes,...half-Masa half-kangaroo...

After we had enough of the stench of manure at Fuji Safari Park,we decided to head off to Mount Fuji,yeah...Mount Fuji.
Mount Fuji is divided to 9 levels or stations and the highest level is the 9th station which is 3460 meters above sea level. From there it is possible to reach the highest peak which is Kengamine peak which is 3775 meters above sea level(Mount Kinabalu 4095 meters)...the top of Japan.
Since most of us only with gears which only good enough to nampa* chics in Shibuya and not for some vertical limit action stuff,we only drove to the 5th level which is about 2400 meters from sea level...the highest level of Mount Fuji which is reachable by car...higher than the 1st base camp of Mount Kinabalu which is only about 1200 meters from sea level.Too bad the weather was cloudy or we could get a bird's eye view of Shizouka Prefecture plus a nice up close and personal shot with Mount Fuji.

The highest we could get...by car...

Heuww...I guess that day it was the closest thing I could get to the marvelous nature.
OK,let's song the Fuji Safari Park theme song with me...1,2...honto ni, honto ni...
