boo me...

my first monday morning after i had my vacation...it's the same rowdy morning rush in the hibiya line.
when i arrived at the office, the first thing people will say to me after the unappealing ohayo gozaimasu is 'sappari shite imasu ne...' means something like 'hey!you look cool with your shaved face and short hair'...yeah,a had a haircuit.
yesterday,i went to this retro looking barber shop after realizing that my hair salon which i used to go is closed for renovation.as i sat on the barber chair, the barber asked me like 'what can i do for you today?' and i only answered 'not too short, just repair'.the barber said 'kashiko marimashita' means like 'got your order sir'.just like in any barber or hair salon i go,i always close my eyes until the barber or hair stylish will put on my glasses for me and show me to the mirror the finished hairdo.when i looked to the mirror,to my suprise...my hair is short....i mean short.now i end up like some underheight poor-sighted american navy GI from Yokosuka camp...oh,well.
on the other updates...i found out that the girl i'm having a crush with is engaged to her BF during the weekend....cincin belah rotan?i would rather give one from Tiffany's...hahaha....boo who.
lastly, during my stay in KL,i bought this cool t-shirt which i found useful on my nanpa practice other than tokyo maps and my tourist impression.

Dual Layer

before i heard about DVD-9,it always had been DUAL LAYER but when i went back to malaysia weeks before, went to LOW YAT,it seems that that DUAL LAYER vocab doen't apply anymore to the ah peks who sell them at RM12 a piece.either it's DVD-9 or DUAL LAYER,technically they are the same(IT outdated me...).
DVD-9(DUAL LAYER) refers to the approximately 9 gigabytes of data that the two layers on one side of a DVD contain. No DVD burner can make these things. They have to be stamped out by machines. With DVD-9, the entire package is so slick, you cannot look at it without wondering who, or what, is behind it. You immediately think of the Asian Triads-organized crime. If that's the power behind DVD-9, then some dangerous genius is running the operation, since the brand, which is synonymous with quality, now rules all of Asia. In fact, there is nothing to indicate that these disks are anything other than Hollywood products fronted by Hollywood to eke whatever it can from Asian markets, where buyers are used to paying nothing for the stuff. You have to wonder who is really behind all this.

HEAVEN!!!

no malaysians should be proud if our country is considered by many to be the nexus, or vortex, of all international piracy.but in reality, who will spend RM100 for a single original DVD instead you can get 9 good DVDs(i consider the other 3 DVDs are defected) for the same price?

see ya again next year...perhaps

whatever it is,we should be proud of malaysia,KL,this is no lightweight town, but an intense rough-and-tumble metropolis, with its incredible skyscrapers. The place, kind of a cross between Shanghai modern and New Orleans funky with an energy level that contrasts with both that of boring ultramodern neighbor Singapore and the nearby wild and disorganized Jakarta in Indonesia. The place is an eye-opener for everybody else in the world.
i'm getting homesick,gotta stop now.

first in 8 years

after 10 days of raya vacation(my first raya vacation in malaysia in 8 years),now i'm back to my particular, sort of...living hell.
again, get up at 6:30,take the 7:15 train packed with salaryman ossan and be in the office surrounded with single-middle-aged-GUCCI,Louis Vuitton-clad women.
my last 10 days were OK except for my schedule.now i think i know how does a celebrity feels like and why he could not handle his schedule by himself, with the national tour(in my case, pergi beraya),public appearances(meet my kampung friends and relatives)and fan club meetings(fan club meetings too...).but what's so cool of being a celebrity is you're always gonna be in the limelight and of course, you're the most eligible bloke around...not mentioning you're showered with all those personal questions like 'when you gonna get married?','how's your relation with bla,bla,bla',etc....it was a whole lot of fun.
between those tight schedules,i spent most of it with baby sitting my only nephew, lukman AKA 'lukmansaurus',taking care of my dad's fish pond and contributing a lot amount of wealth for the continuity of pirated DVDs and softwares in malaysia.

in spite of my tight schedule and the only internet connection i could get was in Pan Pacific Business Center which costed me 1RM per-min after internet at my home,my aunt's and even my sis's were down(that's one of the reasons why this blog is not being updated for quite sometime),overall,i would give my 10 days raya vacation :

Ferris girls vs Waseda boys

I started the day by turning on the tv and checking the weather forecast...emm,today sunny sometimes cloudy with max temp 21 degrees....so I think I should wear more than a long sleeve shirt,so I wore a blazer,in fact I want to look a little bit intellectual because I was going to be one of the official judges of a debate in a well known college of Waseda. So I went out at 8 in the morning and feeling satisfied with the wear I chose because it was quite chilly that time. When I arrived at Waseda an hour later,Chris was waiting for me in front of the debate stage then I met the other 2 judges.20 minutes later the debate started and so as the judging.During that 1 hour of debate,it was so cold, rather than concentrating on the debate I was trying to keep my cool not to go to the men's room to piss. After all the debate stuff finished at 2pm,I was on my was back home on a train,I was sweating all over...Well folks, this what happens if you have 27% of body fat percentage. So boys and girls out there, beware of that flabby parts of yours or you'll end-up like me...lost of body temperature control and over-sweat.
Oh!About the debate,it was between Ferris Girls University and Waseda and the resolution was "The legal age of drinking alcohol should be lowered from 20 years old to 18 years old" .Frankly speaking,I was a little bit disappointed...or perhaps,I just expected too much...as a former debater myself,I have this perception on how a good debate should go...you know things like that fierce verbal battle from the proposition side to the opposition side and back again, strong body language and of course one of the basics, the debaters must nicely dressed, but the one I judged today was too casual and the debate turned to be more to a questioning session than a debating session...well anyway, again,I'm always on the girls side and we gave the Ferris girls to win(I have to keep my reputation high among the Ferris girls). After the debate ended,me,Chris and the Ferris girls enjoyed ourselves at Waseda's art gallery...it was amazing how an unfinished homework could be a very nice piece of art.

Chris and me are pretending to enjoy art.
