Snow Jam 2005 Part 3...hopefully not the end....

A week after Yuzawa Nakazato,me and the rest of GS ski/snowboard club headed off to Hakuba Happone in Nagano. The 2 days and 2 nights trip started from my office...yeah,my office.I was glad that i got the morning off so i could escape the morning rush and get my board and equipment thru the subway....or not,i would look like some weird gaijin with a body bag(...it's my board bag...it's long and black),traveling on a subway at 7AM morning rush to Roppongi. So we started our(60 of us) 6 hour bus journey right after office at 7:30PM and we arrived at our hotel,Marukin Ryokan sometime at midnight. The next whole day and the day after that,we spend most of the times on the slopes.

It's virtually office....near the slopes

About the weather condition of Hakuba Happone,on day 1,it was snowing all day and it was extremely fair on day 2...as a result,i got stripes on my face due to the sunburn. As for the slope condition,it was pure powder on the mountain tops until i 'devirginized' them all and it was ice plate almost everywhere on the lower part of the slopes...so if you're not be careful and without your pads on,you'll end up with bruises on your knees and butt.

me...minus the action

overall...the trip was not bad but i should reconsider about going snowboard with crowd of 60 next time.

some of us...
